Adolescent and Adult Orthodontics -- It's Never Too Late to Improve Your Smile!

A visit at any age is advisable if a particular problem has been identified by a general dentist or physician - or by you! Straight teeth can help more than your appearance. If you have crooked teeth, you may feel self-conscious or hesitant to smile or talk with your friends. You might even cover your mouth when you laugh, or keep it closed when you have your picture taken. When you feel better about your looks, you'll feel better about yourself, and your whole outlook on life can improve!

Furthermore,  straight teeth are easier to keep clean, decreasing the risk of tooth decay and gum disease. Chewing function can be improved, decreasing stress on the chewing muscles and on the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Excessive tooth wear and fracturing can be minimized by a healthy bite, too.

Your teeth should last a lifetime. Having them properly aligned significantly increases that likelihood!
