bulletPatient Appreciation Day 1998

On Friday, June 5, 1998, Dr. Mogavero and Staff brought 700 patients, their families, and their friends to the Anaheim Angels versus Colorado Rockies Interleague game at the new Edison International Field of Anaheim.

Dr. Mogavero's son, Shane, was the Honorary Batboy for the evening, and he was thrilled to be able to sit in the Angels dugout before the game, where he met several of the players and got their autographs! Then, Shane was shown on the Jumbotron in a brief  ceremony. Shane's dad, Dr. Mogavero was also thrilled because he got to go on the field and take pictures of Shane!!!

The Angels went on to win 5-0 thanks to two homeruns by Cecil Fielder, and some great relief work by Troy Percival, whom Shane met before the game. To top it all off, this was a "Big Bang Friday", and everyone in attendance was treated to a great fireworks show! ! Everyone had a great time!
